Meridian House, Washington, DC, is the city’s most splendid mansion in the style of Louis XVI. Architect John Russell Pope, famed for the Jefferson Memorial and the National Gallery of Art, was the designer and no expense was spared.
Suffering neglect and abuse during its years as an institution, Meridian House had become in need of general restoration in all areas.
Oak Grove Restoration Company brought it back with detailed conservation and restoration of stucco, wood paneling, marble flooring, and historic lighting.
Oak Grove also updated the mechanical systems, installing more efficient climate control and lighting.
The Meridian House is on the National Register of Historic Places.
