The Robert E. Lee Boyhood Home, Alexandria, Virginia, is a fine brick Georgian house built in the 1790s and was home to the Lees after their removal from Stratford Hall, Westmoreland County.
The project involved converting the long-neglected house from a house museum to a private residence with as little alteration as possible.
Oak Grove Restoration Company restored every aspect of the structure including stabilizing the foundation, repointing the walls, installing all mechanical systems, and conserving decorative woodwork.
