St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Alexandria, Virginia, is a Gothic Revival conceit in colored stucco, built to the designs of Benjamin Henry Latrobe during his Washington period, when he worked on the Capitol and White House.
Oak Grove Restoration Company restored the failed roof structure of the church and built a new terrace in front to serve handicap access.
The project involved extensive wood conservation and joinery on the old Gothic columns and pews inside the church.
Photographs from the Historic American Buildings Survey show the original interior and exterior of the church.
